Abstract
Fiction is the most popular genre
of the coetaneous English Literature. Right from the eighteenth
century till now, every decade has witnessed the rise of new
techniques and also the incorporation of newer themes into
English fiction, the twentieth century being no exception.
Twentieth century English literature in different parts of the
world in different genres – poetry, drama, fiction and criticism
